HISTORY Gerald Parker Engineering Watford Ltd was founded in 1981. The Company's foundations were laid by Gerald Parker and Chester Carson whose skills and knowledge in the field of Mechanical and Geological Engineering was to set the Company on a course which today has traded successfully for many years. From the outset the Company's client base was associated with the aerospace, automotive and mining industries. Today the Company has evolved and whilst losing ties with the mining industry due to its demise over the last 20 years, it has added gas turbine and construction to its customer portfolio. In 1989 the Company added a comprehensive design facility, with structural and architectural metal fabrication following in 1990. In 2000 the decision was taken to introduce design into the Company title - a move to reflect the design capability of the business.
In 2006 Parker Design Engineering Ltd embarked on an expansion programme which involved vacating the premises which had been home for 25 years and moving to a larger, purpose-built site in Garston, Hertfordshire from which the Company operates today.
PRESENT Since the Company's move to new premises the turnover and staff level has trebled. In order to progress and expand, new positions have been created and personnel recruited with a specific target to bring experience, knowledge and management skills to the business. At our site we have design, manufacturing and administrative departments which enable us to offer a complete manufacturing service from our base. To complement this facility we employ Site Engineers and Installation crews who run parallel with our manufacturing department.
PARKER DESIGN ENGINEERING VISION To design and manufacture precision engineered parts and architectural and structural metalwork delivered through close customer relations and dedication to response, service and punctuality.
